So I go back to New York in a little less than three weeks. This summer has been crazy amazing, but I'm actually kinda excited to go back to school.
BUT - things I have to do before I go:
- Ship off some clothes to school ahead of me so my bags won't weigh five tons.
- Get a haircut
- Maybe COLOR MY HAIR? (I've wanted to forever. I'm thinking auburn. Something darker and more dramatic than my natural shade.)
- Get some new cool hipster threads. 8B
- Do a shit ton of crunches and pushups and shit so I won't look like a total tubby come school time.

This summer I'm headed to Anime Expo and Comic Con for glorious nerdy times. X3
Probably going to bust out a new Ben 10 costume for Comic Con. REALLY want to pull together Tamina from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Sorta a dream costume right there. I need to pick one though. Going to see the move in theaters again on Thursday with a bunch of girlfriends.

The Twelfth Night

Well, it's been a lot more nights than that since I came back to school. But I'm currently sitting in my theatre history class where we're discussing Twelfth Night. I know, bad Jay, updating your DevArt Journal during class.
So I've recently found lots of inspiration in "Starry Sky", an otome game drawn by Kazuaki. Her art is so lithe and beautiful - I love the way she draws her characters. For a long time I've drawn inspiration from Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21) but Kazuaki's stuff has really struck a cord with me. Her coloring is also gorgeous.
